Summer lovin, had me a blast!
Today we’re celebrating in mom, dad, and two sets of newlyweds in this all adults family vacation summer mini session at South Beach Park in Vero Beach.
My sister Emily and I both got married last year so this is the first family vacation with all six of us. We wanted to document the occasion. My mom has also always wanted to do a photoshoot on the beach, so we thought this would be a fun early birthday present for her. Her birthday is July 2.
We all currently live in Oklahoma. My parents live in Tulsa and the rest of us live in Oklahoma City. My parents have a place in Vero Beach and we’ve been vacationing there as a family since I was little. We love it there!
It’s been a fun season of growing from a family of four to a family of six. There’s been a lot of life change in the past year but it’s made things so much sweeter!
When we’re in Vero we try to spend as much time on the beach as possible. My dad loves to fish, so he’ll be recruiting his new sons-in-law to fish with him. Me, my mom and my sister love to go on beach walks and read books. Being able to swim in the ocean is also a favorite when we visit Vero in the summertime.

And we have to give it up to this group because they really brought their A-game when it came to time management. I preach it often – my 20 minute sessions are great for that quick photoshoot but man does the time go by fast. They were so understanding – we were literally running around the beach trying to find the good light and making sure we had plenty of options for group shots, couple’s shots, and candids!
