The Nelsons are actually celebrating a FEW milestones with this session. Tricia and her parents came down to the Disney Resort from their busy lives in Orlando for a birthday/anniversary duo.
“We’re on a getaway for Thanksgiving. We’ll be at the Disney Resort for a few days, then to the parks in Orlando for two days. We do this every couple of years. This time we are celebrating my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary (11/1) and my mother’s 70th birthday (11/17). Even though my brother and his daughters aren’t with us, I thought it’d be special to preserve memories of this time with photos,” said Tricia.
“I live in Los Angeles, and my parents live in the suburbs of New York City. (They emigrated from Guyana, South America in the late 1960s.)”
“I’m a woman “of a certain age” celebrating a milestone birthday next year; my parents are now both retired yet active, healthy and able to enjoy life. Time is fleeting; we need to savor these moments and celebrate every occasion — the little ones and the big milestones.”
“We like art and beauty. When I’m in NY, I spend a lot of time enjoying art/beauty with them: going to museums, Broadway shows, special events. When we’re in Vero Beach, we enjoy the little things: a trip to the gardens, the little treasure museum or the outlets, a walk on the beach or biking along the path.”
“I’ll describe my parents: they’re attractive, very young-looking and game for just about anything…BUT, they’re not photogenic! They don’t know how to smile naturally and look relaxed. You have your work cut out for you!”
Looking at these photos – you would NOT believe that Tricia OR her parents had any reservations in front of the camera. They were just effortlessly amazing!
