Frequently Asked Questions
How many photos do I get?
At JWP, we don’t believe in limiting the amount of photos we deliver. On average, I can deliver anywhere from 20-35 photos per 30 minutes. The number of photos delivered for each session varies on the length of the session, the cooperation of family and children, weather conditions, etc.
How much to prints cost?
Please feel free to check out my rough price sheet here. I also offer albums, calendars, holiday cards, heirloom gifts, and more! Purchasing your high-res digital files can be done for a $65 fee.
Will the photos be retouched?
Every delivered photo will be retouched with the signature JWP style. I retouch for color balance, exposure, contrast, and overall photo style. Light cosmetic retouches may be applied for minor blemishes. Excessive cosmetic or unnatural retouching for things such as sunburn, chapped lips, skin airbrushing, heavy acne, scars, overlays, head-swaps, etc. will be billed at a rate of $45 per photo.
Will I have the rights to my photos?
Every session receives immediate access to download and share their photos, meaning you are able to share them via social media and internet, and use them for your own personal use. You may not sell them, use them for advertising, or any other commercial use without explicit written permission from Jackie Watson Photography. You may not alter or re-edit photos with any professional or technical software or applications – including Instagram and smartphone filters. This is to protect the artistic integrity and copyright of me as your photographer!
Is my payment refundable?
Due to the nature of my photographic services, all retainer payments made are non-refundable. I do this because it guarantees that I hold the date exclusively for you, and that I have turned down all other commissions for that date.
What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel my session?
Weather in Florida is somewhat unpredictable! Please keep that in mind when choosing your locations and have a rain-backup plan ready. I am fully capable of shooting gorgeous family photos in light rain. However, when the weather is just unavoidably terrible, a no-penalty reschedule may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. Any other reschedule must pay a $150 rescheduling fee to secure a new date & time. Please remember that once you book my service for a particular day and time, that time is removed from my availability and held exclusively for you.
Because my sessions require non-refundable payments, if you decide to cancel a session, your non-refundable deposit will be kept as credit for any other photography service for up to one year. After one year, your credit will expire.
