My two favorite Virginia Beach engagement locations!
Indian River Plantation and First Landing State Park were the absolute perfect choices for a sunset engagement.
This couple’s engagement is actually a bit more personal to me because Adam and I were stationed together in the Navy- so it is my absolute privileged to be able to shoot for a friend. Tiffany is an absolute beauty and they are such an adorable couple together. I loved seeing them laugh and giggle because the love between them was just so obviously genuine. I had to post some sneak peeks on their engagement session RIGHT away!
We started off at Indian River Plantation to use the beautiful garden area and gazebo. It was so incredibly hot day – typical Virginia summer! We even had to fight our way past some geese who were not happy to see us intruding on their afternoon siesta.
After that – we relocated to First Landing State Park and rushed against the sunset to capture the last few GORGEOUS minutes of the day. I absolutely loved shooting these two glowing in the vibrant golden sun! This is a wedding I am surely looking forward to!!
The ducks though!!! How cute is that?
You can’t go wrong with the classic dip. It was hard for me not to yell out, “When I dip, you dip, WE DIP!” I managed to control myself, somehow!
Thankfully, this was an absolutely fabulous engagement session in every way. Working with a couple who I can know personally always makes for a great time for me, so I can’t WAIT for this wedding next fall. They certainly are smitten with each other, which just makes my job THAT much easier. I hope I get blessed with perfect weather just like this for the rest of the summer.
